Sisters Construction
was built to change the culture from the inside out.
About Us
Sisters Construction is a woman-owned design-build company rooted in craftsmanship, integrity, and inclusion. For more than 14 years, we’ve specialized in creating beautiful, functional commercial and residential spaces—while championing a safe, supportive environment for women and minorities in the trades. Founded on the belief that construction should uplift both clients and the people who build for them, we approach every project with clear communication, respect, and a commitment to getting the job done right.
Why We Champion Women & Minorities in the Trades
The construction industry has a long history of excluding and mistreating women and minorities. Today, 88% of women in the trades report experiencing harassment—a statistic we refuse to accept as normal.
We provide a safe, supportive environment where people can grow in their craft without fear—an environment grounded in mindful communication, respect, and accountability. Our team is intentionally composed of individuals who uphold these values and understand that the trades can (and must) be a place where everyone belongs.
We come from a lineage of pioneers, inspired by women like Rosie the Riveter, who stepped into the trades during World War II and broke barriers that once seemed impossible. Today, we proudly continue that legacy. Every project we take on is done with an awareness that we are representing women and minorities in a male-dominated industry—and we go above and beyond because of it.
We don’t just build spaces.
We help build a more inclusive future for the trades.
Meet Jeannie Frankovitch
Founder • Carpenter • Trailblazer
Jeannie’s path into construction was anything but traditional. Fifteen years ago, she entered the Police Academy in Hawaii and graduated—only to discover that law enforcement wasn’t where her heart belonged. With a father and brother in the trades, she decided to follow in their footsteps and step into construction.
She began by framing houses with an all-male crew, learning firsthand what it meant to navigate a male-dominated industry. Eventually, she transitioned into finish carpentry, where her natural eye for detail, craftsmanship, and design came alive.
Almost 2 decades in the field—and thirteen years running her own company—Jeannie has experienced her share of discrimination, bias, and “you don’t belong here” moments. Instead of backing down, she rose stronger. Through persistence, resilience, and a deep commitment to integrity, she learned to stand in her power and empower others in a peaceful, grounded way.
Her vision for Sisters Construction is simple:
To create a safe, inclusive, opportunity-rich environment where women and minorities can thrive, grow, and build meaningful careers in the trades.
Jeannie leads with strength, compassion, humor, and a belief that the trades are for everybody—and that construction done with care truly has the power to change communities.
